Breed History & Characteristics
The American Bully, often mistaken for an APBT, began development in the 1980s and was finalized in the 1990s. To achieve the desired physical traits and temperament, the APBT was crossed with the American Bulldog, English Bulldog, Mastiff, and Olde English Bulldog. The result is a breed with a unique, stockier physique and specific personality traits.
